Webinar – Navigating a Child’s Journey in Education

Understanding why our children may find school days such a challenge is invaluable if we are to help them succeed in large social settings and in turn to access learning.

This webinar provides the opportunity for professionals and parents to increase their understanding of children’s behaviour, as well as having a greater awareness of the role each performs in a child’s emotional wellbeing.

We share the principles of attachment and will assist attendees in better understanding of how children who have experienced early trauma may function in school settings and how they are best supported.

The aim is to ensure that all children can access learning and be better understood, to have better life outcomes and be able to manage social settings and multiple relationships.

All attendees will leave the day with a better insight into the demands of each other and learn why as adults they need to provide a consistent approach and implement the principles of an Attachment friendly model, rather than rigidly follow a behaviourist approach.

This webinar is free of charge for Adoption Matters families and Foster Care Matters families. It is also free for Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) families who are currently receiving support from the Centre for Fostering and Adoption Support.
