Consortium of Voluntary Adoption Agencies (CVAA)

CVAA is a membership organisation for voluntary adoption agencies. They work to ensure their member agencies are enabled to deliver services of excellence to children, adoptive families, and all those considering adoption, or who have been affected by it. All members provide specialist, high quality adoption services to children and families across the United Kingdom.

Foster Care Matters

Foster Care Matters is our not-for-profit fostering service operating across the North West, Stoke on Trent and surrounding areas. We re-invest back into our services to offer quality support and ongoing therapeutic training to our foster parents, to help them, make children matter.

Adoption UK

A national charity that works with and on behalf of adoptive parents, prospective adopters and carers.

CoramBAAF

CoramBAAF Adoption & Fostering Academy is a leading membership organisation dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people in care by supporting the agencies and professionals who work with them. CoramBAAF is part of the Coram Group of charities.

Department for Education

The Department for Education (DfE) is responsible for education and children’s services in England. The DfE is a ministerial department, supported by 10 agencies and public bodies.

Family Connect

Family Action’s Family Connect website is a new resource for adults who have been adopted or in care. The information on the website is to assist them in finding answers to questions they may have about their origins, to help them on their journey to locate records relating to their adoption and care that may exist, and also to find birth family members.

Home for Good

Home for Good is a charity we have worked in partnership with since 2014, who exist to find a home for every child that needs one. They, and we, believe that the Church is ideally placed to help find homes for children and provide the support to those families who do. They raise awareness, encourage people to consider fostering and adoption and inspire and equip churches to better support families who foster and adopt.

New Family Social

We are proud members of New Family Social, the UK network for LGBTQ+ adoptive and foster families. In 2021, Adoption Matters received commended agency status for 2021 by New Family Social’s LGBTQ+ adopter and foster carer members.

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people, and services providing education and skills for learners of all ages. Ofsted is a non-ministerial department. #YouCanAdopt 

#YouCanAdopt is a nationwide adopter recruitment campaign which aims to raise awareness of adoption and bust myths around who is eligible. The campaign is being delivered by Adoption England. Adoption England strives to support and strengthen adoption practice and services across the country.
