Kate and Martin Slack's Garden Party returns for 2026

Adoption Matters, is delighted to share that our garden party, hosted by supporters Kate and Martin Slack, will be returning for a sixth year in 2026.

On Saturday 27th June 2026, from 12 noon until 4pm, the beautiful grounds of Kate and Martin’s home in Ashton Hayes, near Chester, will be opened again for Adoption Matters supporters to enjoy a fun-filled family afternoon.

Guests will be able to take advantage of acres of picturesque gardens and woodlands, a children’s entertainer, a forest school, a children’s tombola, a raffle and a cake sale full of delicious goods baked by Kate and some of the local villagers.

This is a ticketed event open to all adults, children and young people, not just adoptive families. Tickets are £10 per person for adults – children and young people (0-17 years) can attend for free.

All funds raised will help support more families through our Centre for Fostering and Adoption Support.

Annie O’Neill, Fundraising and Relationship Manager at Adoption Matters, commented:

“We are so pleased that our long-term supporters, Kate and Martin, have decided to host a garden party for our children’s charity again this year. This will now be the sixth time that they have hosted a garden party for us and each year it just gets better.

All are welcome to the event, it’s not just for our own adopter families, it’s a real family event for all to enjoy – tickets must be purchased in advance. For health and safety reasons, we’re unable to sell tickets at the gate.

“Please come along and join us to help us make even more of a difference to children and  families lives.”
