We are a not for profit organisation who work across local authority boundaries to provide a consistent high quality support for adopters and adopted children. We are the ONLY adoption agency in the North of England to have been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted for the Four consecutive inspections

 

Job Summary:

 

Role: Adoption Support Occupational Therapist Part Time (30 hours per week)

 

Salary: Up to NJC Scale 35 £37,849 (FTE)

The Centre for Adoption Support offers a wide range of support and training services for adoption and permanency. The successful candidate will carry out work as required in assisting the Centre for Adoption Support in its delivery of multi professional adoption support services.

 

KEY TASKS

 

• To effectively manage a complex and diverse caseload with support and advice from a manager, using evidence-based / child-centred principles: including prioritisation assessment.

• To contribute specialist advice.

• To contribute to the training and education of other staff, to ensure a quality service is delivered.

• To contribute to a high-quality service, by working within national, local and professional standards and to act as a source of expertise and advice for other professionals.

• To be a member of a multi professional team expanding its philosophy and its commitment in the field of adoption and permanency and to share in the agency’s development plans.

• To comply with the agency’s statutory obligations, including adoption and safeguarding of children and adults.

• At all times when carrying out principal responsibilities to maintain financial and budgetary awareness and ensure that operation management approval is obtained for any expenditure outside own delegated maximum.

 

The successful candidate will hold a degree/postgraduate diploma or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.

 

HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.

 

Have experience of children’s social care work.

 

An Enhanced DBS check will be required.

 

Adoption Matters are members of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
