Changes to Adoption Matters North East Team

We want to keep our families, prospective families and our colleagues informed about some upcoming changes regarding our North East team.

Like many organisations, the shift to increased hybrid working after the Covid-19 pandemic has led us to reassess our office needs. Over time, we’ve found that some of our buildings are larger than our current need, and the associated costs of upkeep are increasing year on year. As a charity, our priority is to ensure that any surplus revenue is used to support our families.

As part of this review, we are considering changes to our office spaces, including our Durham location and have now decided to sell our Durham office. In the coming months, we will evaluate the best solutions to support both our team and the families we serve in the North East. While it’s difficult to provide an exact timeline, we anticipate these changes will take place later this year or early 2026.
