Jamie, Trustee (pictured above left) comments: “I’m running for Adoption Matters as one of their Trustees but moreover, the biggest supporter of the importance of their work! A wonderful charity which I feel privileged to run the Manchester 10k for”

Zoe, Adoption Practitioner (pictured above centre) added:  “I have worked for Adoption Matters for a year now and have seen first-hand the wonderful work and support that social workers deliver to families and children. I am running the Great Manchester Run to continue to ensure that this wonderful work can continue”.

Sarah, Fundraising Manager (pictured above right) commented “Fundraising for Adoption Matters means I get to see so many supporters doing so many things to help us raise funds so I’m putting my running shoes on and literally joining in! We are so grateful for any support that people are able to give us to help support local children and their families”.

Adoption Matters Chief Executive Norman Goodwin, CBE comments: “We are so grateful to all of our 6 runners for their dedication in competing in this run and of course for supporting our charity. We have lots of adoptive families and place many children from the Manchester area so it makes it all more poignant and special that our staff and trustees are also taking part in this event.  From everyone at Adoption Matters, we want to wish you all luck on the day and enjoy the celebrations after!”

The Great Manchester run has an enormously wide appeal and attracts more than 40,000 people each year, including elite runners and celebs, to running novices. All Adoption Matters runners will be proudly wearing their vests so raising awareness at the same time as pounding the streets!
