When: Wednesday 04 November 2020
As the global effect of Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, Adoption Matters is firmly committed to the health and safety of our staff, our families and the colleagues we work with across the UK. We are closely monitoring the changing situation and complying with the latest Government and public health guidance.
In line with this latest guidance and to ensure the well-being of attendees and our team, we have adapted many of our events to be delivered virtually online.
About this workshop:
At The Centre for Adoption Support we understand that sibling rivalry is of major concern to parents for many reasons; not only does it add stress to family life, but it can leave parents feeling incompetent about their parenting abilities. This workshop will focus on the need for self care and how this enhances parents’ ability to use therapeutic strategies.
In addition to the above, throughout this workshop we will consider the effects of trauma on child development, look at the significance of identity development and take a look at the therapeutic focus on seeing each child as a whole, focusing on their strengths and promoting healthy reciprocal relationships.
Please note, our online workshops are open for Adoption Matters families and RAA families that are currently receiving support from CfAS only. To secure your place, please click below and complete our short form advising which course you are interested in. Thank you.
