About this Webinar:
Lifestory work is a social work intervention with children and adults designed to recognise their past, present, and future. The aim of this webinar is to consider the significance for children of family history in having an understanding of who they are and how they have come to be where they are.
We explore the challenges of sharing – and what may be for some – very difficult information about a child’s family of origin and their time spent in the care system and look at a child’s growing levels of understanding as they get older. Together, we aim to achieve ways of making this difficult task possible.
This webinar free of charge for Adoption Matters and Foster Care Matters families and Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) families that are currently receiving support from the Centre for Fostering & Adoption Support.
If you’re not affiliated to Adoption Matters or Foster Care Matters, then you can attend our webinars at £5 per person.
We offer closed captioning on our webinars to provide a live transcript of what is being said – if you would like to have this activated, then please do contact us at the point of booking so that the facilitator is aware.
