Chester Cathedral Christmas Tree Festival

The Chester Cathedral Christmas Tree Festival, back for a seventh year in 2019, allows visitors to escape from the hustle and bustle of the festive period and lose themselves in the astonishing tree-lined winter walkways.

From the beginning of December, Chester Cathedral cloisters will be filled with more than 40 majestic Christmas trees.  Visitors will be encouraged to vote for their favourite tree, and winners – in business and school categories – will be announced at the closing of the festival.

Chester Cathedral welcomes more than 50,000 visitors throughout the month of December so we will be able to engage with a strong local audience. In 2018, they helped raise £11,000 for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. This year Adoption Matters is one of the chosen charities to benefit from the voting!

We are looking for volunteers to help man the desks to encourage the public to cast their vote for a tree. Each vote of £1 goes towards the total amount which will be donated to the two chosen charities – Adoption Matters and Stick ‘n’ Step. If you can help please email or call 01244 390938
