We know that many families may struggle over the coming weeks and the months ahead and appreciate that you will all be incredibly busy managing the impact of the ever changing situation and uncertainty around the rapidly evolving COVID-19. The most important consideration is of course the health and well-being of all of us.

Our Centre for Adoption Support has collated some useful information to share with you,  available to download as a pdf below, we will also be sending out a resource list that contains links to some helpful information. We will continue to share details of all of our news, events and plans here on our website and through our social media pages.

  • The brilliant Axel Scheffler has produced a book about Covid-19 Coronavirus just for children – and it’s available as a FREE download.  The Gruffalo illustrator worked with consultant Professor Graham Medley, two head teachers and a psychologist to make sure the book got the messages right, answering questions about quarantine, how you can catch the virus and what happens if you get ill.  Publishers Nosy Crow have asked for donations in lieu of payment, to go to our fantastic health workers: https://buff.ly/2UQ9WQi

  • Dr. Dan Hughes acknowledges the challenges of parenting a traumatised child through these difficult #COVID19 times in this discussion on YouTube here “Find some space for stories, developing the meaning of what we’re doing together”

We understand that good adoption support can play such a vital role in maintaining families’ well-being. You and your family are very important to us, please be assured that we are committed to continuing to work to support you as best we possibly can through this difficult time.
