So throw away the rule book. Create your own traditions. Decorate a wonky cactus not a tree! Bake crumbling cookies. Make a calming cushion igloo. Read new stories.
Embrace the chaos. Celebrate the imperfect moments.
Just do it together and with love.
We’ve thought long and hard to find some ways to fill the downtime and celebrate being together for Your Christmas, so here we go…
We have funny and entertaining Christmas stories read by our very special guests John Thomson, actor and comedian, Bishop Mark, the Bishop of Chester and his wife Lindsay, Norman our Chief Executive and the wonderful Rico.
Fantastically creative Christmas crafts brought to you by Aeron and Iyla plus an origami masterpiece from our the talented team at Future.
Fabulously delicious Christmas recipes very kindly shared by the fantastic Ainsley Harriott and BBC Good Food/Immediate Media.
We’ve got some Christmas tips and advice to help ease you through this sometimes difficult and often very busy time.
And finally…a spectacularly seasonal Christmas Quiz from the comfort of your own home!!
We really hope you share in this with us and have some fun at the same time!
At our Centre for Adoption Support we understand that many adopted children can face challenges as a result of early life experiences. We work with adoptive families from the very early beginnings of preparing to parent and continue to offer support for the rest of the family’s life together.
If you are able to donate any amount no matter how big or small to help our charity deliver more support services to more families at Christmastime and beyond that would be amazing… thank you so much!
Texts will cost you the amount you choose above, plus one standard rate message. You will be opting in to hear more about our work and fundraising via telephone and SMS.
If you’d like to donate by text but do not wish to receive marketing communications, text the following:
We use a platform called Donr for our Text Giving who charge 5% (plus VAT) of every donation made. Donations will be added to your monthly phone bill and you can even add Gift Aid.

Adoption Matters will share your own photographs by retweeting or reposting with the #YourChristmas The welfare of the children and young people taking part in our any of our activities is paramount and we must advise that is the responsibility of the adults sharing the photographs to ensure that they have gained the necessary consents for all parties involved.
We always advise that our families to check their privacy settings to make sure only their friends can see their profile and photos, and that geo-location settings are not shared. Before posting a picture, parents or carers can also make sure there isn’t anything that would allow a location or identity to be recognised, such as school logos or signs, road names, or names of clubs that their child attends.
We always encourage parents to ask for children’s permission before posting a picture or video of them online. With very young children and babies, this will not be possible but parents and carers should consider the long-term implications of sharing an image before making it public.
Please ensure that you adhere to the latest Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions when participating in any of our suggested activities, the latest guidance can be found at: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus
