Adoption Matters, children’s charity and one of the largest voluntary adoption agencies in the UK, welcomed children and families to their Open Garden and Teddy Bears’ Picnic on Sunday 21st August 2022.
Children and parents brought along their favourite Teddy Bear to eat their picnics in the grounds and woodland of the beautiful Ashton Grange in Ashton Hayes, near Chester. The afternoon of fun included a Teddy Bear Trail, Storytelling, TeenZone and Children’s Magician! An ice cream van was also available to cool the visitors down in the hot summer sun. Visitors also were invited to explore the 20 acres of meadows, woods, and gardens in the beautiful grounds of Ashton Grange, the venue so kindly offered by owners Kate & Martin Slack who support the charity.
The charity was delighted to welcome their honorary guest to the event, Jeannie France-Hayhurst, the High Sherriff of Cheshire, pictured below.

“We had such a wonderful day – it was so lovely to see the children and their families enjoying the storytelling, Teddy Bear Trail and the wonderful magician. Thank you to our kind hosts Kate and Martin Slack and to our sponsors Gigaloch, who both helped to make the event happen”.
