Big Adoption Day – 16th March

Over the past year, Adoption Matters, along with the majority of voluntary adoption agencies across England, has been involved in a government-funded project intended to underline the importance of our work in finding and supporting families for children in care and working in partnership with our colleagues in local authorities.

 

As part of this initiative, on Wednesday 16th March, Adoption Matters will be one of many agencies opening their doors to enquiring adopters by hosting an information evening to reinforce the message that adopters continue to be needed for our most vulnerable children in the care system.

 

There aren’t many decisions that will change your life forever; but adopting a child is one of them.

 

If you’re considering adoption or just want to find out a bit more about what we do, why not come along to one of our Big Adoption Day information evenings, where we’ll also be unveiling a new animation produced by adopted children for prospective adopters.

 

We are holding free information events in the following locations:

 

Blackburn

Our concurrent planning service, delivered in partnership with Caritas Care, are offering an informal drop in session for those interested in this alternative route to adoption
Time: 1:00pm to 3:00pm

 

You don’t need to book your place for the events, just pop along for a chat.  We will be running a presentation during the sessions to showcase the new animation produced by adopted children, chatting with you and you will have a chance to meet and chat with some of our adopters.
