We are delighted to take part again in this year’s Christmas Tree Festival at Chester Cathedral. The festival, has over forty six foot Christmas Tree’s lining the beautiful Cathedral cloisters and this will be Adoption Matters third year of taking part. Visitors are asked to vote for their favourite tree so please do VOTE FOR US! More details on the festival are available here: https://chestercathedral.com/event/christmas-tree-festival-3/
Adoption Matters placed 67 children with families and approved 47 new families in the last financial year (April 2017-March 2018) and the tree decorations represents each of these children with a decoration (to the nearest 10!).
Adoption Matters Chief Executive, Norman Goodwin, CBE commented: “Seeing the many children we placed with their forever families last year represented visually on the tree is touching and we hope that our families are able to visit the festival to view our tree.
There are still so many children (over 2000) waiting for their own adoptive family right now with children waiting outnumbering adopters by 3 to 1. You can be single, divorced, retired own your own home or rent to adopt. We offer ongoing support and training to all our families for as long as they need it”.
