Bolton Wanderers choose Adoption Matters

Bolton Wanderers have chosen Adoption Matters to be their chosen national charity for the 2015-16 season.
During the summer, the club called for charities from across the country to submit their applications to become a charity partner of the Whites this term.

Having been inundated with requests, Wanderers eventually selected their chosen organisations earlier this month, and Adoption Matters were chosen for the accolade of national charity.  As part of the on-going partnership the football club will offer support in many forms throughout the duration of the coming season.

Norman Goodwin CBE, Adoption Matters Chief Executive commented: “We are delighted that Bolton Wanderers have chosen to support Adoption Matters as their chosen national charity.  Part of our recruitment strategy this year is to target sports clubs and to raise awareness of adoption with men as, contrary to popular belief, as many men make that first enquiry to adopt as women.

We are excited about the plans in place for the year ahead.  There are still just under 3,000 children in the UK waiting for their adoptive family and we hope this sporting partnership helps us find more families and raise awareness”.
